Cohort XI
We will post future application information here.
The Harry Kay Leadership Institute is the Twin Cities’ flagship program for developing and training Jewish leaders. Started in 1993, the program established a standard for locally developed, high-level Jewish leadership training programs in the United States.
Jewish leadership today demands more than technical skills or organizational expertise. It requires leaders who understand themselves to be part of an ongoing Jewish story, rooted in tradition, connected to fellow Jews, and adaptable to changing circumstances. The Harry Kay Leadership Institute (HKLI) equips accomplished leaders to navigate complexity, strengthen the organizations and communities they serve, and contribute to a vibrant Jewish future.
Through an immersive cohort experience, HKLI participants explore the intersection of personal leadership development, local communal responsibility, and global Jewish peoplehood, drawing on Jewish wisdom and contemporary leadership practices.
Our Alumni Network
Over the past 30 years, over 350 people have participated in HKLI. In the past, after the program was complete, the alumni would do what was intended from the program—they would take on leadership roles in the community. We have realized, however, that our job was far from finished. We believe that a strong Jewish community relies on collaboration, and that maintaining leaders’ relationships with each other is integral.
We created the Harry Kay Alumni Network as an opportunity for alumni to reengage with each other during leadership summits, salons, reunions, and other programs.
